i49 accomodation

This post is for people to sort out where they are going to sleep, i.e.

Are you camping? If you are taking a tent can you fit any more people in?

OR

Will you be booking a hotel room? Do you need somebody to share with?

Hotel details can be found here

http://iseries.multiplay.co.uk/i48/accommodation

^^ ignore the fact it's for i48, i49 will be the same.

You can book NOW for these hotel rooms, if you are thinking of getting a hotel I would advise you do it sooner rather than later, the people going to i48 have found that the hotels are fully booked, the same may happen for August i49!!

The prices are here (say you are booking for the Multiplay LAN)

Prices are per room for 2 people (I think there may be a charge for more than 2)

Holiday Inn – £65.55 per night (on site)
01952 527 335

International Hotel – £55.60 per night (on site)
01952 527 310

Grays Hotel – £61.50 per night (a short walk from the venue)
01952 527 313

OR

Uni Accommodation

"We are please to announce that the Uni accommodation has been confirmed and they have a nice new shiny on-line booking system. Head over to their booking website and get your hands on a room for the amazing rate of £21.85 + VAT a night!"

I have just booked a room for me and Donut at The Holiday Inn - they will take a debit/credit card number for validation but you won't actually pay until you depart the hotel

I will be camping, will work out rather expensive to stay in a hotel for 4 nights when you can camp for free!

Don't even think about carrying your PC from there to the venue, we were told it was 5 minutes away so I carried mine - my fooking arms nearly dropped off!!

It is probably about 10 minutes walk (when you aren't carrying a heavy PC!)

Yes you can m8, I would arrive early and either
a. set your tent up and then go park next to building and queue up with your pc, or
b. do the reverse of the above

I highly recommend bringing a small trolly to pull your gear on if possible, I may even invest in one myself.

Re: i49 accomodation

Quoted from Wizzo on the MP forums:

"We're hoping to have the town park camping area in addition to the rugby club in the summer, but this relies on the council not being useless"

^^ The park camping is right next door to the conference centre - I would expect it to get filled quickly though so unless you are going on the Thursday you will probably be out of luck.
